How it started..
Since I was very young, I had a love for reading and writing, being able to get through several novels within one week. I always had a small notebook I would write little stories in as well.

A little bit of background
I started off as an education major but ultimately decided to switch majors. I switched to Communications and Media Studies in 2021 when I transferred to Benedictine University.
I truly enjoyed my major and have learned a lot from my classes and my professors as well. I mainly focused on the writing aspect but I also enjoyed learning about graphic design, public relations and more. Through my courses, I gained experience in news writing, graphic design, photojournalism, and even T.V Production.
A passion for storytelling
I have always had a passion for writing, reading fantasy and creating things. From a young age, I had started writing little stories, some connected and some that were stand-alone.
The passion for writing only grew once I reached high school and took a creative writing class. I am in the process of writing an original fantasy book with inspiration from the books I love reading along with everything about fantasy and magic that I find interesting.

My favorite things
RESEARCH & WORLD-BUILDING

My favorite part about the writing process is doing the research and seeing the many different ways a story can go depending on what you discover and choose to use. I love researching the origins of magical creatures, their history and interesting facts about them as it gives me a better understanding of the creature and how to best write them. I love that you can use your imagination in fiction writing.
FANTASY & FICTION

I also love that fantasy is not always set in stone. There is room to play around with different aspects, create your own world and make the characters the way you want to. The more information I obtain, the more room I have to explore the characters and create something interesting. Writing was always my outlet, and creating your own magical world interested me quite a bit from the time I started writing. Creativity is something I truly treasure.
